The quality of this book was inferior to anything I could have imagined. I would rather read Transformers: Age of Ultron Fanfiction while getting beaten by the police than open the covers of this pageslush one more time.

TO FIND MERIT, READ BETWEEN THE LINES

This book is by far the most opinionated, liberally biased, and at some points, outright disrespectful course book I have read. See almost any commentary on Justice Scalia's opinions. For the most part, the authors bury their obstinate opinions in the form of loaded questions after the fact--the most blatant example being in their commentary on "United Steelworkers of America et al. v. Brian Weber." However, if you are able to push through those failures and get a solid, unbiased view of the actual argument, then the book will provide you with a very strong understanding of the relationships between courts, agencies, legislators, and executives; the political processes that effect legal interpretation and construction; and the evolution of the court when it comes to these issues. I applaud the authors, in this respect.
